　　Foto8 was established in 1998 as the website foto8.com, known as 'the home of photojournalism'. In 2001 it published the first print issue of 8 Magazine. Over the next decade foto8 published 29 magazine issues and five individual photo books.

　　The magazine's offices, on Honduras street in London, were also home to HOST Gallery, a physical gallery and event space for photojournalism.

　　In November 2012, After 14 years of supporting photographers and their projects,Foto8 closed its doorsand ceased trading.
